"I really started to see the worth of this book as I progressed through chapter 3 and beyond. My thinking began to change and I could instantly reflect on how many ways I have NOT helped a student when they didn’t understand what they were struggling to read." -I am loving the book since I got through the first two chapters. I think that this is going to be a wonderful resource for us. As always, when we learn new and better ways to teach we reflect back on what we have not done. We need to give ourselves grace. We did what we knew how to do and now we will do things differently. Remember in a previous book study you had a similar response and in my reply I quoted Maya Angelou, "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." This could so be our new motto. :):)
