Name and summerize about the chapters you read
Chapter 16 - Narrow the gap in the amount of words my students read. Offer books with sophisticated or tier 2 words to enhance their vocabulary. Value reading in our room.
Chapter 18 -Ask Dialogic questions. Gaining understanding happens when questions are asked. There are many questions to choose from.
Chapter 19 - The Good Book box narrows the search for students who are overwhelmed. Offer a variety of books that may interest our students to allow for them to choose a good book!

How will these impact your teaching?  What strategies did you take away and how will you implement them into your teaching?
Listen and know my student interests.  Encourage the good book box for my students who seem to struggle with reading. Narrow the search for students who are overwhelmed. Use the many Dialogic questions located on pages 308. We have a word wall that they can look at, we need to add Tier 2 words regular to encourage them to learn new words.

I loved the idea of the good book box! I will definitely be helping some fellow coworkers set this up in their classroom and also within the library! Books are a gateway to information for our students.

I think THE GOOD BOOK BOX is great idea. I would like to get this set up in my room and help my grade levels out with this in their rooms.
