There were so many good figures/charts in this book. Almost all of them could be used in one way or another for minilessons or instruction. If I was in the classroom the one figure I'd pick to use is figure 3.3 I think this was the one we all said "Yes it's helpful" to when we were reading that chapter.

I love that the chart gives you options and where to go based off the needs of that student. You can look as it and see what the student can do then what they have difficulty with... which lead to what the student needs help with. I love this. I think I will be using this chart a lot when it comes to helping new teachers with their small group instruction. I think that everyone should have a copy of this chart and have access to the book if needed as well.

I really enjoyed this book study and it made me rethink how I use to structure some of my lessons when in the regular education classroom. I also learned some tips I can use and implement in my small math groups.

I agree there were lots of useful/good charts and figures throughout this book that will come in handy for small groups. They will help us find what students can do, what they are struggling with and what are next steps are to take.
I enjoyed this book study and learned alot as well, tips and tricks :)

Hi Deanna! I agree that Figure 3.3 will be such a helpful tool to reference. After assessing students, we will know exactly what steps to take next!
